Hi! We just finished our vacation at animal kingdom villas. I wanted to plan next year's vacation there and was curious if they will be doing construction.i read they may be renovating the rooms? Does anyone know about future renovation ? Thank you!

Jambo, Michelle, and welcome to planDisney! Thanks so much for stopping by--I'm always happy to chat with a fellow Disney Vacation Club Member to help plan a magical vacation.

It sounds like you had a wonderful time at Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas - Kidani Village. My husband and I stayed in a Savanna View Studio earlier this year, and I loved it, too! Being able to sit on your balcony and watch the animals wander by is one of the coolest experiences in all of Walt Disney World Resort. Kidani is also home to Sanaa, one of our family's very favorite restaurants--if you didn't get the opportunity to try it on this most recent visit, definitely put it on your list for next year's vacation!

All of the Disney Vacation Club resorts are on a regular schedule of renovations and refurbishments to keep them in tip-top shape. I checked with Member Services to get the latest information on any planned renovations at Kidani, and at this time, nothing is officially scheduled for 2025 beyond two brief closures of the Savanna observation deck. In the past, I've been advised that the resort website is a reliable source of information, so I recommend keeping an eye on the Animal Kingdom Villas site for any updates.

Michelle, even if renovations are occurring in 2025, there will likely be plenty of availability for Member bookings as the work is usually completed in stages. The construction crews do a great job limiting noise to daytime hours, and in our experience staying at various resorts during construction, it does not impact our experience.

I hope this information is helpful for your planning purposes! Please come back and see us again at planDisney anytime if we can help with questions about DVC resorts, membership, or otherwise.
