    I just finished booking our Disney vacation. When will we receive our magic bands in the mail. Our trip begins on April 29. Also will we need to activate at home or when we arrive.

    Thanks for reaching out to us again here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question about MagicBands! 

    Typically, the customization window for MagicBands ends about 30 days before you are scheduled to arrive at the Walt Disney World Resort, so for your family that would be in late March. Be sure that if you want to choose your own colors and names for your bands, that you check that customization time and pre-order by then.

    As soon as the customization window closes, you will receive an alert that your MagicBands are shipping, and they typically arrive to your home around 2-3 weeks before your arrival date. They will already be activated at that time and there's nothing that you need to do to activate them. If you have any trouble using them for the first time, be sure to see a Cast Member at Guest Services or at the hotel concierge and they can assist you.
