Hi there, Jennifer! Thank you for bringing your great question to us at planDisney!
Can you believe that you're only a few days away from your magical vacation to
Walt Disney World Resort?! From the
EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival to
Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, you're sure to find magic waiting for you around every corner! But before you can immerse yourself in the magic, you have to tap into the parks. After speaking with a Cast Member, I was told that entrance via the fingerprint scanners is required for theme park entry. From my experience, it doesn't matter which finger that you use, just that you consistently use the same one. This scanner helps to easily and efficiently enter the theme parks!
Well... as long as you can remember which finger you used to scan! When I traveled with my nieces and nephews, not only could they not remember which finger they used, they couldn't remember which hand they used! However, I noticed that they always wore their
MagicBand on the same wrist (their left one). After resetting their fingerprint scan for the third time, we came up with a little phrase: MagicBand,
magic hand! This helped remind them of the correct hand to use (their left one, the same one that held their MagicBand) and we had them use their pointer finger (because it was easiest to remember). Find what works for you and your child, as long as you're using the same finger consistently!
Jennifer, be sure that you've made your theme park reservations with the
Disney Park Pass system so you're able to visit your desired parks! And take some time to download the
My Disney Experience app, which will allow you to check wait times for attractions, view park maps, and even
mobile order food.
If you have any other questions, please visit us again. After all, you've got a friend in me!
See ya real soon!
