Welcome to planDisney, Mary!
It’s always a pleasure to help a fellow Floridian plan for a magical Disney adventure!
As an
Annual Passholder, I’ve been in the same situation. My youngest always had a tough time with the fingerprint scan, so I used mine instead. On the rare occasions she visited without me, a Cast Member at the touchpoint would verify her Annual Pass, usually by asking her name and checking that the photo on file matched her adorable face. Once they confirmed everything, they would have her scan a new fingerprint to allow entry.
If you’d like to reset the fingerprint back to yours, just let the Cast Member at the entrance know next time you visit together. They’ll call over a
Guest Relations Cast Member to assist with reassigning it. Just keep in mind that if your Mouseketeer visits without you again, they may need to go through the same quick process to update the scan once more.
I hope this helps answer your question and that you’re enjoying
all the magical benefits of being part of the Walt Disney World Annual Passholder family!
