Hi Tricia!
At this time last summer I was getting ready and planning like crazy for our visit over Thanksgiving. Since I like to plan every last detail, I had this exact question myself! I too found that Disney doesn’t officially publish their Thanksgiving Day menus in advance. I did find that searching for and reading a few trip reports on message boards gave me a few ideas as to what to expect.
I decided to book somewhere that tended to have traditional American food, and one I knew we enjoyed on other occasions. We went with
The Crystal Palace! I felt pretty confident that they would be serving traditional options, and as the mother of teen boys who are currently eating more food than I seem to be able to keep in the house, I knew the buffet would offer plenty of options and volume for everyone! We had an excellent dinner and all the traditional foods were available.
A good rule of thumb is that a location that often serves a themed or ethnic type cuisine may not vary as much from their usual menu. For example, I would expect Teppan Edo at Epcot to still serve their regular menu, but restaurants that serve more American or Continental style are likely to offer a Thanksgiving feast. As Thanksgiving is coming up relatively soon, I would recommend making
Advance Dining Reservations as soon as possible as restaurants do tend to book up. Other good options might be
Olivia’s at Disney’s Old Key West Resort,
The Wave at Disney’s Contemporary Resort, The Hollywood Brown Derby or
Hollywood & Vine at Disney’s Hollywood Studios,
Yachtsman Steakhouse at Disney’s Yacht Club Resort, or
Le Cellier Steakhouse in Epcot. One of the most popular options is, of course,
Liberty Tree Tavern at the Magic Kingdom. If you aren’t able to secure that perfect reservation, keep checking back regularly as people do tend to cancel and options open up frequently.
Sending you pixie dust to find the perfect turkey dinner, Tricia!
