Hey Jenny! Welcome to planDisney!
You're in for such an amazing time when you visit
Walt Disney World Resort this summer! Since the World's Most Magical Celebration is still going on for the
Resort's 50th anniversary there is new EARidescent magic at every turn! Between the four
Beacons of Magic lighting up the evening sky to the
sparkling sweets and treats you'll find within the Parks and around the Resort to the new incredible attractions that have opened recently or will open soon, you and your party are sure to be dazzled by this extra-magical celebration.
Thanks to technology there actually is a way to find directions from one point to another all around Walt Disney World Resort. If you open your
My Disney Experience mobile app and click the second icon from the bottom (it looks like an upside-down teardrop) you'll open a map of the entire Resort which even shows wait times for your favorite attractions and shows! You can even filter categories from a drop-down menu at the top, choosing to highlight dining locations, restrooms, transportation options and more. By clicking both your starting and ending points and then "Get Directions" you'll be given the transit options available.
There are definitely ways to get from
Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort to
Disney's Wilderness Lodge using Disney's complimentary transportation options, so let's check them out! If you're planning this excursion just to try out all the amazing transportation options around the Resort, I don't blame you! I absolutely LOVE the
Disney Skyliner and riding the Monorail is always a "pinch me" moment, no matter how many times I've experienced it.
You may find that there are much quicker and easier ways to make this trip if you're interested in time-saving options. The other issue you may run into is that the Disney Skyliner station from Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort drops you at the International Gateway entrance of EPCOT. This is essentially the "back entrance" to the Park (and my favorite way to arrive)! To get to the Monorail station at the front of the Theme Park you and your party would actually have to walk through the Park, meaning you would need both a valid Theme Park Ticket and a Theme Park Reservation or Park Hopper Option Theme Park Ticket. Besides needing the ticket it would also take quite a bit of time just to make your way through the Park.
If I were you and I still wanted to experience many modes of transportation I would consider taking the Disney Skyliner from Caribbean Beach to Disney Hollywood Studios and then a Disney bus to Wilderness Lodge. This would be a shorter route, taking approximately 53 minutes according to the My Disney Experience app. If you're hoping to take the boat, you may think of taking a bus from your Resort to Magic Kingdom and then hopping on the water transportation to Wilderness Lodge. This option will take approximately 40 minutes.
No matter what you decide I would leave about 60-90 minutes for transportation, especially if you're arriving for a yummy dinner reservation at one of the delicious dining options at Wilderness Lodge!
Enjoy your amazing vacation!
