How do I find my family’s commemorative brick at the Magic Kingdom?

    Welcome to planDisney, Elizabeth!

I purchased a commemorative Walk Around the World paver as a gift for my parents when they retired.  My entire family celebrated the occasion together at Walt Disney World Resort on New Year's Eve 1999 for the turn of the millennium.  We always enjoyed spotting the brick and snapping photos on subsequent visits.

After many years and millions of footsteps, the entrance plaza at Magic Kingdom Park has been refurbished with new pavement and the commemorative bricks are no longer there.  I understand this may not be the news you were hoping to hear.  Because Disney's Walk Around the World program holds special memories for many Guests, replica bricks are available to purchase at Tomorrowland Light & Power Co. in Magic Kingdom Park next to Space Mountain, or online through shopDisney.  You can choose from some of the original logos from when the program debuted, or new artwork for the Walt Disney World 50th Anniversary Celebration.

Elizabeth, if you have any additional questions about your upcoming visit, please stop back and see us again.  We are always happy to help.  Enjoy your trip!
