How can I find out when Disney Vacation Club at Bay Lake Tower is open for reservations? After 8 years of staying there I waited too long for this year. I'm trying to schedule for 2019, calling Disney every day. There must be a better way!

    Hi there, Carol Ann!

I'm sorry you're having such a frustrating time booking Bay Lake Tower at Disney's Contemporary Resort. As you've clearly discovered, it's quite a popular destination. Within walking distance to the Magic Kingdom, some villas with theme park views, and easy access to the Top of the World Lounge and the monorail, it can be tough to get a room here.

For Disney Vacation Club members who have their "home" resort as Bay Lake Tower, they can begin booking 11 months prior to the date they wish to arrive. Guests who do not have the "home" resort advantage can book starting at 7 months prior to their vacation.

If you are not a DVC member, the booking window can fluctuate. In theory, you should be able to book a resort room at around the 11 month window as well, however, according to a DVC representative, non-DVC room availability can cause the booking window for cash reservations to vary. If you are not using DVC points to book, I would say start trying just before your 11 month window opens up and don't give up! Keep trying to see if you can get the room you want.

    Good luck, Carol Ann!
