Ahoy, Karen!
I'm so glad you navigated your way to the Disney Parks Moms Panel to ask your question about your Disney Wonder cruise through the Panama Canal! Two weeks definitely requires some creative packing and planning!
On your voyage, you can expect one night of formal attire and one night of semi-formal attire. On these nights, you will see your fellow passengers in everything from tuxedos and ball gowns to cruise casual clothing. Your family will also want to pack their pirate-y best for the Pirates IN the Caribbean Deck Party, which will be scheduled for one night of your sailing as well. All of the remaining nights will be
cruise casual attire.
If you are planning to dine in
Palo, either for brunch or dinner, please note that their is a different dress code for this delicious venue. One of my favorite things on a day at sea on a Disney Cruise Line vacation is to head to Palo for brunch. The food is not only delicious, it is presented in a lovely way. I highly recommend trying the Grape and Gorgonzola Pizza. Yum!
There are
laundry facilities on the DCL ships as well. So, you can plan to pack less if you don't mind making a trip to the laundry room. There is also a laundry service, which I have used to have my formal gowns pressed once we are onboard. I have found the fees to be very reasonable.
I hope this helps with your cruise planning. Please let me know if more questions arise before your Panama Canal cruise on the Disney Wonder!
Happy Cruising, Tracy V.
