Hi Belinda,
I'm SO excited for you and your family to experience "The Most Magical Place on Earth" this
fall!
I'd love to help you plan one of my favorite aspects of a Disney vacation...the food! Mmm...there are SO MANY unique and delicious options to choose from, and my mouth is watering just thinking about it! First, let me explain a little how dining works. You'll find two main types of restaurants: quick-service and table-service. At quick-service locations, you'll place an order at the counter, receive your food, then find a table where you'll sit and enjoy your meal. At a table-service restaurant, you'll be waited on by a server, and you'll either order from a menu or enjoy an all-you-care-to-enjoy meal that's served either family-style or from a buffet. Both options offer a wide variety of choices of delicious options, and you can filter through
the list of all of the restaurants by location, type of restaurant or food, or even Guest ratings here. If you'd prefer to look at a park map to see the restaurants in each park,
here's a guide for how to find those. While no reservations are required for quick-service dining (with the exception of
Be Our Guest Restaurant at Magic Kingdom park), you will want to make reservations for any table-service meals you'd like to enjoy.
Dining reservations open 180 days in advance, so please feel free to make reservations at any point either online or by calling (407) WDW-DINE or (407) 939-3463. Feel free to bring us another question if you'd like recommendations on our
favorite places to eat!
While there is a summertime special offer that includes food, nothing has been announced yet for the fall. Definitely keep your eyes on the
special offers page, though, for any updates! If you're staying at a Disney Resort hotel and you'd like to have all of your food taken care of in a package, I'd encourage you to look into the
Disney Dining Plans. They're a great option to make dining easy peasy! Also, if you'd like to
bring your own food into the theme parks, I'm happy to let you know that you are able to do that! Just know that there are some
restrictions, like no glass bottles (other than baby food jars), food that needs to be heated, alcohol, coolers larger than 24" x 15" x 18", or loose ice.
Thanks so much for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Belinda, and please feel free to keep your great questions coming! I hope that you have a truly magical...and delicious...vacation this fall!
Missy
