    Karen from PA Asked

where do i find which catagory i want to make my park reservations under, as; an annual passholder or a DVCmember,or as staying at a disney resort?

    Hi Karen!

Welcome to planDisney! No worries, you don’t select which category you fall under when you make your Disney Park Pass Reservations.  It should default to the correct one. I fall into all of these same groups and had no difficulty securing Disney Park Pass Reservations for my upcoming trip.

Disney Park Pass Reservations are available in three different “baskets.” There are slots allocated for Walt Disney World Annual Passholders, Guests staying at Disney Resort Collection Hotels, and other ticket holders that don’t belong in one of those two other categories. There is not a separate group of reservations allocated to Disney Vacation Club Members.

If you are staying at a Disney Resort Collection Hotel, this is the basket the system will pull from when you go to make your Park Pass Reservations, and you can make reservations for your length of stay.

If you aren’t staying at a Disney Resort Collection Hotel for your visit but will be using your Walt Disney World Annual Pass, you will be able to secure up to a maximum of three Park Pass Reservations. If you are staying on-site, but the system is not allowing you to make more than three reservations, first double-check that you are linked to your Disney Resort Collection Hotel Reservation. For example, my husband and I have separate My Disney Experience Accounts and share plans via Family & Friends. If I link our Disney Vacation Club reservation to my account but don’t assign my husband as one of the Guests on that reservation, he would only be able to make the 3 Park Pass Reservations for Annual Passholders. So double-check that everyone is linked to their appropriate reservation.

Ticket holders without a Disney Resort Collection Hotel reservation may reserve the number of days for which they hold ticket entitlements, it’s just that Disney keeps these as a separate basket of tickets from those staying on-site. If you have any difficulty securing the needed reservations after troubleshooting the above, I would call Tech Support for assistance. Currently, the Theme Park Availability Calendar shows available Park Pass Reservations in August for all three groups.

Sending you pixie dust, Karen, for the perfect Park Pass Reservations!
