where can I find the blackout dates for 2021-22 for place holders? where can I find a listing of what the VGT, OGT and IGT catergories are for placeholders?

    Hi Nancy!

Sounds like you are ready to enjoy all that's included on a Disney cruise with Captain Mickey. To that I say, “Me too!” And hooray for booking a placeholder for a future cruise while onboard! A placeholder has some great perks, so I'm so happy you were able to take advantage of it.

A top priority before I leave one cruise is to grab an Onboard Booking Offer before I disembark. As you are aware, the Onboard Booking you made on your prior Disney cruise, called a placeholder, allows you up to 24 months from the date the placeholder was booked to set sail. It’s a great idea when you aren’t quite ready to choose a particular itinerary, and it gives Guests the flexibility to explore all the offerings once they get home.

I checked with Disney Cruise Line to confirm the current blockout dates for placeholders for 2021 and into 2022, and here’s what I found:

Disney Fantasy –November 21, December 19, December 26

    Disney Dream – November 22, December 24, December 27, December 31

    Disney Wonder – November 23, December 21, December 27, December 31, and March 18, 2022

    Disney Magic – November 22, December 20, December 26, and December 29

There's no word yet on other blockout dates for 2022 just yet. Keep in mind that the above dates are always subject to change without notice, so I recommend that you double-check by contacting Disney Cruise Line or your Travel Agent. That way, you'll be certain that nothing has changed when you go to book your next adventure at sea.

The fine print also says that the Onboard Booking Offer cannot be combined with Florida Resident Rates, U.S. Military Rates or with any other special offer or discount. It also cannot be used for VGT, OGT, or IGT Categories with Restrictions or 2-night sailings. Since you clearly know your terminology and want to stretch your Onboard Booking as far as possible, contact Disney Cruise Line, and a Cruise Planning Specialist will be glad to assist you.

Nancy, I hope this helps you land on a Disney cruise reservation for a date that works best for you. WISHing you the best of luck as you select a voyage and embark on a DREAM cruise.

    Happy Sailing!
