Welcome aboard, Jessica!
It sounds like you're considering booking your very first sailing with Disney Cruise Line! My family and I love any type of Disney vacation, but setting sail with Captain Mickey and his crew has become our favorite. We love that we can be relaxed all day or active all day, or a mix of both, and that there is truly
something for everyone on the ship.
While there isn't an official finance program for Disney Cruise Line, as long as you put down the required deposit when you first book the cruise, you're welcome to pay it off in whatever way you'd like. You'll want to be sure that your cruise is paid in full by 75 days prior to sailing because as a first time cruiser, that is when you'll get to begin booking fun extras like Port Adventures, Adult Exclusive Dining, and some special Character Greetings.
My family and I pay a little each month toward our sailing, or sometimes just make a few larger payments. They don't mind how you pay it, so just do what is best for your family budget. You can even use Disney Gift Cards towards payments on your cruise. I like to do this because I buy
Disney Gift Cards at a grocery store which offers fuel rewards on gift card purchases, up to 2x or 4x the fuel points. So, since I have to fill up the car each week anyway, and pay for the cruise too, I just save some money on gas by purchasing Disney Gift Cards there and using those to pay off the cruise. Or, just charge payments to your credit card. Using a
Disney Visa Card from Chase allows you to finance any Disney vacation at 0% interest for six months, which is helpful too.
I hope that helps as you get ready to plan your magical adventure, Jessica. Feel free to stop back with more questions. We're happy to help!
