Howdy, Alesia! Welcome back to planDisney. It is so good to talk to you again.
Alesia, glamping (glamorous camping) at one of the fabulously rustic
Cabins at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort is on my Walt Disney World Resort bucket list. In fact, a few of my fellow panelists and I have made plans to reserve one next fall!
DVD players used to be a standard amenity in the Cabins but I have been able to confirm that they are no longer available. Additionally, the in-room TV's are mounted, so you will not be able to reach the back to hook up your own DVD player. Some, but not all, of the TV's do have USB and/or HDMI ports on the sides, so you may be able to use something like a USB-connected Smart TV device; however, guests that I have spoken to have had varying luck trying to hook it up to the WiFi.
Alesia, if you are looking for a family movie night, Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort is currently hosting
Movies Under the Stars on select nights. During these nights you can settle down in front of a projector screen, enjoy some roasted marshmallows, and catch a classic Disney film.
I hope that this gave you some clarity of the DVD situation at The Cabins at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort. Please come back here to planDisney if we can help you figure out where to dine or play at Walt Disney World Resort.
Enjoy your stay in the wilderness!
