I am finally ready to book the Aulani resort for 2019! However, there are no dates available yet. Any idea when those dates traditionally show up for the upcoming year?

    Hi there, Christina!

Aulani - a Disney Resort and Spa, located in stunning Ko'olina, Hawaii is like the crown jewel of Disney Vacation Club. It's a bucket list trip for a lot of DVC members.

If you are using Disney Vacation Club points, you can begin making reservations at Aulani either at the 11 month window, if you are an owner at Aulani, or at the 7 month window if you have your home resort at a different DVC property. That means that you can begin booking 11 months in advance if you own Aulani points or 7 months if you own other points.

When booking a regular resort reservation, using cash and not DVC points, the booking window technically opens 499 days in advance. I have found, however, that Aulani must do things on Hawaiian time. It's always best to call 866-443-4763 and make reservations by phone if you are planning well ahead of your trip.

One thing not to miss while you're there is the Ka Wa'a Lu'au. Jam packed with the most beautiful story of Hawaiian history, the festivities include a buffet meal of authentic island cuisine. It's a great part of a vacation in O'ahu.

Mahalo, Christina, for your question. I hope you get to enjoy a practically perfect vacation in paradise!
