Welcome to planDisney, Beth! I am so glad you came here to ask your questions about your November trip!
Congratulations on making the brave decision to have gastric bypass surgery! It is not an easy decision, I had mine nearly 17 years ago.
At this time, the Disney Dining Plan is not available for purchase. But, even if it returns, I would not recommend it for you. It is WAY easier to simply share a meal with someone in your family, or order just an appetizer for your meal.
At any quick service restaurant, you will be able to order a kid’s meal, or split a meal. Be sure you get some good protein at your meals! A few of my best recommendations would be the Orinoco Ida’s Cachapas at
Jungle Navigation Co. LTD Skipper Canteen in Magic Kingdom, and the kid’s Chopped Wood-Grilled Chicken Bowl at
Satu’li Canteen in Animal Kingdom.
Even all these years later, I can’t even make a dent in an “actual” meal, so my family is really great about sharing with me! One last favorite for sharing is
Flame Tree Barbeque in Disney’s Animal Kingdom. The meals are HUGE and have lots of protein!
I would love to hear from you again if you have more questions while planning your magical Walt Disney World vacation. I wish you the best of luck with your weight loss journey!
Happy Planning,
Tracy
