My fiancee lives in Norcal and just moved to Socal she just got her temporary driver's license paper from the DMV until she gets her ID. We also have proof of insurance with the 92804 address. Would that be sufficient to prove proof of residency?

Hi there, Kevin, welcome to planDisney, and congratulations on your engagement!

It sounds like your fiancé is hoping to take advantage of the SoCal Resident Ticket offer. I don’t blame her, it’s a great deal! She’s completed the first step in updating her CA ID to her SoCal address. Unfortunately, a temporary paper ID, insurance, or even a receipt from the DMV will not suffice as valid proof as none of those items have your photo identification.. She’ll need to wait for her official ID to come in the mail as it will be checked at the entrance when using a SoCal resident ticket. A valid government-issued photo ID is required when using a SoCal resident ticket.

Once you’ve secured your tickets, check out all the magic happening during Holidays at the Disneyland Resort. The holidays run through January 6, 2025, so you’ll get in the last few days of festive magic. I always recommend grabbing a hot beverage and a treat to view A Christmas Fantasy Parade down Main Street, U.S.A. at Disneyland Park and then hop over to Disney California Adventure Park to experience Disney Festival of Holidays!

The hotels also celebrate the magic and Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel has a delicious, themed gingerbread display in the lobby! Be sure to check out Disney Parks Blog’s Disney Eats Holiday Foodie Guide and the version for Disney Festival of Holidays. You can purchase a Sip and Savor Pass if you want to try the specialty cuisine around Disney California Adventure Park.

I do hope that your fiancé can get her CA ID sooner rather than later. Well Kevin, I wish you and your family a magical holiday! If you have any other questions, feel free to send us another message!

    Happy Holidays!
