my fiance and i are going to walt disney world for our honeymoon in january and made a registryy. Our final payment for our package is due at the end of november, so most people might not have gone to our registry. what can we do about this?

Hi, Jessica!  Congratulations on your upcoming wedding!  I hope the plans are going smoothly, and everything is falling into place!

I'm going to get a little bit Emily Post on you here and say that in most circles, it's not polite for the bride and groom to ask wedding guests to send gifts - let alone send them early - but it's perfectly okay for members of your family or bridal party to make suggestions!  If your family and friends are planning a bridal shower ahead of your upcoming wedding, you might request that they do it in time to allow the attendees to view your registry before your deadline.  Honestly, people would probably love to attend a bridal shower before the holiday rush, so it might be perfect timing!

If you are not planning to have a bridal shower, you may want to have your family and close friends suggest to other close family and friends that they could view your registry now so that their gift can be used to help give you a magical honeymoon.  While it's not Emily Post acceptable, I know I would have no trouble calling grandparents, aunts or uncles to ask if they'd like to help make a bride's honeymoon dreams come true by "purchasing" their gift a little early.

I hope it all works out for you, and I wish you a marriage sprinkled with pixie dust and filled with magical moments!
