Hello. My fiance' and I are planning a visit the week of February 9 thru February 13, 2014. Can you please tell me if this should be a good time to encounter low crowds?

    Amy,

That is not what I would call a "low" crowd period, but it is not a "busy" crowd period either.

Because President's Day next year is not until the 17th, you won't fight those crowds. Also, because you are coming during the week, you should find that you are missing the bump up in crowd levels that comes with the weekend.

On the whole, you will find that the crowds are what I would describe as "light moderate", or on a scale of 1 to 5 (with 5 being the most crowded) a 2 to 2 1/2. I think you will like the crowd levels as being not so empty that the place feels deserted, and line times should not be horrible. I would definitely consider using Extra Magic Hours, which I steer people away from at busier times of the year.

BOTTOM LINE: Moderate crowds will greet you, and you will have a magical time!

    Have a magical vacation!
