Me and my fiance are looking at the Disney Beach Resorts for our Honeymoon in January 2012! First, which do you prefer, Vero Beach? Or Hilton Head? We are leaning towards HH, but is going there in January a good idea?

    Hi Ashley,

Congratulations on your honeymoon! What a wonderful occasion in your life!

I will be honest and have not had the pleasure of staying at either Vero Beach or Hilton Head. However, I can tell you a few about each and why I would want to stay at them so this may help you.

Hilton Head is located in lovely South Carolina. This location you will find counter service dining and warm Southern hospitality. There is a shuttle to the beach and many guests enjoying dining in town. You can also take a day trip to Charleston and enjoy the sights here as well as dining. I would want to dine at Paula's restaurant for sure.

Vero Beach is located on the Atlantic Ocean. Here guests can enjoy dining on site and numerous beach activities. You can also travel into town for activities and Walt Disney World is only a few hours away. Given that it is January, this might be the better location if beach going is on your agenda.

Either resort is going to welcome you and help you spend magical first days as a new family!

    Wishing you a magical honeymoon!
