Hello, Chelsea! Congratulations from the entire Disney Parks Moms Panel team on your upcoming nuptials! Walt Disney World Resort routinely tops lists for the most romantic honeymoon destinations. My husband and I had our own "dream come true"
honeymoon at The Most Magical Place on Earth nearly 20 years ago! A lot has changed since then, but I'd be happy to help with your fairytale celebration.
California Grill is a perfect choice for a special dinner, and I'm happy to report that you can indeed use the standard
Disney Dining Plan here; since this is considered a Signature Dining Experience, your meal will cost two Table Service entitlements. What I usually do is book a less expensive Table Service meal (such as
Via Napoli Ristorante e Pizzeria) earlier in my trip, and pay for it out of pocket, thus saving my Table Service entitlement for a two-credit restaurant. Although you can't go wrong with any of California Grill's entrees, my favorites are the Oak-fired Filet of Beef and Grilled Pork Tenderloin. Last year, Disney started including adult beverages with the Dining Plan, so feel free to order a glass of California wine or a fancy cocktail with dinner. Also, make sure to view the
Happily Ever After Fireworks from the restaurant's observation deck- if you dine before the show, bring your receipt to the check-in desk on the 2nd floor for reentry to California Grill.
From my experience, a little rest and relaxation time at Walt Disney World is necessary, especially after a big event. Consider booking a couples massage at
Senses - A Disney Spa and Salon at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort, or maybe you'd like a romantic
Horse-Drawn Carriage Rides along the Sassagoula River at Disney's Port Orleans Resort? And don't forget to order your
Bride and Groom ears to wear to the Parks!
Enjoy your Disneymoon celebration, Chelsea, and make sure you stop by again if you have any more trip planning questions!
