Hi There! My Fiance and I are getting married in July 2011. We are coming to Disney for our very first time in September 2011 and are staying at the Pop Century Hotel. Neither one of us have been to Disney before. Any tips for us??

Hi, Jessie!  You've come to the right place for tips, and I hope you'll visit us often as you plan your vacation!  Congratulations on your upcoming wedding, too!

My biggest tip to help avoid disappointment - make dining reservations!  You can start making your reservations 180 days prior to your arrival for up to 10 days of your vacation, and I can't tell you how many of my own friends and family call me to tell me after they are in Walt Disney World that they can't eat at the restaurants they want!  You don't need reservations for counter service locations, but if you want a nice table service meal, a romantic dinner, or a character dining experience, reserve them in advance!

Budget for a little more than you think you'll need.  I always find a last minute souvenir I want to bring home, and I like to make sure there's money in the budget for an extra DoleWhip!

Consider one of the special tours or experiences.  There are all sorts of interesting and unique experiences that not everyone gets to try while they are there.  Pump up the magic in your vacation by enjoying one or more of the wonderful behind the scenes or specialty tours HERE.

Don't over plan!  Give yourself time to enjoy some things you may not expect to encounter!  There are performers throughout the World Showcase in EPCOT, Streetmosphere performers at Disney's Hollywood Studios, fascinating animals to watch at Disney's Animal Kingdom, and unexpected surprises at the Magic Kingdom.  Give yourself time to stop and enjoy them!

    Have a wonderful vacation!
