My fiancé and I are considering eloping while at Disney in 5 weeks. Courthouse would do just fine. We are bringing our 2 kids. Is there any special way we could celebrate finally getting married and making our 1st family Disney trip even more special?

    Hi Jodie,

Congratulations!!!! What a wonderful way to start your family but at the Walt Disney World Resort!

You can definitely find ways to celebrate your wedding and first trip. You can start by picking a resort. This will set the theme for the whole trip. My family's favorite in every category are Polynesian, Yacht or Beach Club and Port Orleans Riverside. For a family suite, try the Art of Animation because animation started it all.

When you make your reservations, have an in-room celebration ready for you when you arrive. Also, all your dining reservations should note that you are celebrating your wedding and first visit. When you check in, ask for celebration buttons which say Happily Ever After and First Visit.

I would also book a special meal or two. If you want something fancy, try Narcoossee's at the Grand Floridian or California Grill at the Contemporary for dinning with a view of the Magic Kingdom fireworks if you book a late dinner. Just a fun, unique celebration Whispering Canyon Cafe or the Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue will work.

I would also consider a PhotoPass+. It is like have your own personal photographer and worth it to capture all your pictures.

Congrats and wishing you a happily ever after!
