    a few years ago when we stayed at Hollywood Studios after hours we stumbled on a dance party with the characters and it was the greatest disney night ever - we were told all the parks do this somewhere but how do we find out where it is so we can plan

    Disney's Hollywood Studios definitely knows how to "amp" up the volume, from their attractions, to their entertainment. A great way that they've been able to deliver the fun for kids and kids at heart is at the Disney Junior Dance Party! The Disney Junior Dance Party happens year round during Extra Magic Hours at Hollywood Studios. It is held at the Disney Junior Live! stage and runs for the duration of EMH. There is a DJ playing high energy music, a wonderful MC and every 2 hours a character comes out to dance and party with the kids and adults alike! It has been at Hollywood Studios for a few years now, but was previously called Playhouse Disney Dance Party. When arriving at HS, pick up a Times Guide, which will indicate the hours in which Disney Junior Dance Party will be happening.

    There are other parties and parades at the other theme parks, but none that occur during EMH. If you are looking for a fun, festive party ambiance, you can head to Downtown Disney, where they hold the DTD Dance Party at the Marketplace stage across from World of Disney. Complete with DJ, lighting and dance contests, it is a great way to enjoy an evening “jamming” to some of the most popular songs on the radio! Grab some dessert at Ghirardelli’s and sit back and enjoy the fun!
