Hi Moms! Just a few questions please. We are thinking about staying at Ft Wilderness Cabins but will we be able to get a scooter inside? When is the absolutely least crowded time? we are thinking of going the 2nd wk of Dec.

The Fort Wilderness Cabins are plenty large enough to hold a scooter inside. When you call to make your reservation (407-W-DISNEY), make sure to explain your situation to the reservationist. Many, but not all, of the cabins have an entrance ramp in addition to or instead of stairs. If you request a cabin with a ramp for medical reasons, they will be happy to accommodate you.

The second week of December is a low-crowd time at WDW. If you look at the list of Frequently Asked Questions HERE, you'll find a list of dates that Disney considers low attendance time. My research tells me that late-September has probably the lowest crowds of the entire year, but any of the times on the Disney list are great. Also, in September, you still may be facing issues with the rainy season, whereas in December this is not as much of a factor.

    Have a great trip!
