A few friends and I are planning to visit WDW sometime in summer of 2015. I think it'd be best to go mid to late August, but my friend insists that going late May or early June will be cheaper & less crowded. Which would you recommend?

    Hi Kathleen,

I would recommend late August over late May or early June. While late May/early June is slightly cooler in temperature, you will see more crowds than late August because more US schools are out on vacation than in late August. In addition, Disney starts its summer at Memorial Day which is another indication of crowds. There is also the very popular Star Wars Weekends which are a must for any Star Wars fan but it makes Disney's Hollywood Studios extra crowded.

The end of August has historically seen Free Dining offers which is a nice savings. And while it may be hotter than late May/June, you are in Florida where the air conditioning is always on and the pools and water parks are a great way to spend the day.

    Wishing you a magical vacation!
