    It’s the ferry from Old Key West to Disney Springs running yet? I am checking in on Monday 5/4

    Hi Karen,

    Welcome to planDisney! It looks like your Disney trip is nearly here so I’ll hop right to your question about transportation options at Disney’s Old Key West Resort. 

    I stayed at Old Key West last month and noted that the docks were being worked on so the Sassagoula River Cruise watercraft to Disney Springs was not in operation. I have great news for you, Karen, the watercraft is back up and running transporting Guests from the docks in front of the Hospitality House to Disney Springs Marketplace (Blue, Green, Purple & Yellow Launch).  If you're looking to visit other areas of Disney Springs, you can either take a stroll or catch another watercraft to shuttle between the Marketplace, The Landing, and the West Side. Just a heads up, the watercraft run based on weather, so if the forecast looks iffy, it’s always a good idea to have a backup plan.

    I recommend using the My Disney Experience app to help plan your route while traveling around Walt Disney World Resort. Once you’re in the app, tap the magnifying glass icon at the bottom of the screen and search for your destination. Select the location, then click on “Get Directions.” You’ll see all available transportation options along with estimated travel times – it’s such a handy tool to help you plan your day!
