Hi Kinley! This deep freeze here in Illinois makes a Walt Disney World Resort vacation in Florida sound like a really good idea, doesn't it?
I recently had the opportunity to tour Disney's
Art of Animation Resort with Alfredo, the General Manager. He was so passionate about making sure every guest felt well taken care of. There are so many unique elements at this resort from the colorful lobby, to the larger-than-life movie icons, to The Big Blue pool! I'm sure you will enjoy your stay.
All standard rooms at this resort are in The Little Mermaid section, with connecting rooms available. Family Suites are in the Lion King, Cars, or Finding Nemo areas of the resort.
The most cost effective choice will likely depend on whether or not there are any
Special Offers for your travel dates. I tested some sample dates, and with standard rates the cost would be similar for both options, with two standard rooms coming in just a bit less than a Family Suite. However, when I checked the current Sun & Fun Room Offer, the Family Suites were quite a bit less than the cost of two standard rooms. So it just depends on your travel dates and your room preference. Two rooms would give you 4 double beds, 2 bathrooms, and 2 mini-fridges. The Family Suites have a Queen bed in the bedroom, and a Double-Size Sleeper Sofa and Double-Size Table Bed (A Murphy-style bed that when folded up converts to a table) in the living area. Family Suites have a small kitchenette area with a compact refrigerator, small microwave, and a coffeemaker.
