Hi fellow Hoosier! We are doing a split stay (PC/POR) this Nov. Which is the cheapest way to change resorts...a Minnie Van for $20 (not sure if they accept a tip) or a cab with tip? I prefer to check in lock, stock, and barrel before hitting the parks.

    Hi Jaynee,

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your great question! I love seeing another Hoosier here!

Aren't the new Minnie Vans about the cutest things you've ever seen? While they're still a new service and offerings are subject to change, travel via Minnie Vans is currently only available for guests staying at a deluxe Disney Resort hotel. However, I'd definitely keep your eye on the Disney Parks Blog to see if they expand their services in time for your November vacation to Disney's Pop Century Resort. To answer your question about tipping, the current policy is that tipping is allowed, but is not expected.

Taxi cabs are readily available around the Walt Disney World Resort, but because rates may vary based on traffic patterns and/or any wait times, I can't calculate an exact fee for you. It does look as though with current pricing, it may be a few dollars cheaper to use a taxi cab. If you'd like to travel via taxi cab, the Cast Members at Disney's Pop Century Resort would be happy to help you locate one.

A third option for you, Jaynee, is to have the members of your party travel via Disney's complimentary transportation and let Bell Services do the work of moving your bags for you. While it may take a little longer for your bags to magically arrive in your new room at Disney's Port Orleans Riverside Resort, it is nice to not have to worry about moving them yourself.

Whatever route you choose to go, I hope you have a truly magical vacation!
