Hello fellow Disney lover!! What are the best options for dining (quick and character?) when traveling with a 3 year old and a 10 month old!? Thank you!

Hi Amy! Thank you so much for bringing your question to planDisney!

You have the recipe for a practically perfect vacation in the works! Between Walt Disney World Resort celebrating its 50th Anniversary this year, EPCOT's International Flower & Garden Festival happening during your visit, and your little ones at a wonderful age to first experience the fantasy of Disney, I just know you're going to have such a magical trip!

With your stay coming up so quickly you'll definitely want to keep an eye on dining availability in your My Disney Experience account or mobile app.  Since Guests of the Walt Disney World Resort can make their dining reservations 60 days in advance, some of the most coveted reservations may already be booked up.  However, have no fear! Many parties cancel reservations right up until their arrival time, meaning that you can certainly grab some great Advance Dining Reservations later even if you don't catch them today!

With sweet little kiddos the ages of yours, I would suggest looking at Character Dining breakfast experiences like Chef Mickey's at Disney's Contemporary Resort and Hollywood & Vine at Disney's Hollywood Studios.  These restaurants are sure to have some friendly furry faces that they know, like Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Pluto, and their friends from Disney Junior shows!  Make sure to make reservations for everyone, including the baby, but also keep in mind that children under age 3 eat free at buffet and family-style meals!

When it comes to quick-service dining, you can bet that most locations will have something suitable even for picky toddlers.  Places like Pinocchio Village Haus please both the palate and the eye with meals like Chicken Strips and Gourmet Cheese Flatbread. Here, you can also dine with a view of the beloved attraction "it's a small world."  Did you know that you can also use mobile ordering to have some of your favorite meals and snacks ready right when you arrive at the dining locations?  This is a great way to save time and avoid meltdowns caused by hungry bellies!

Amy, please come back and see us again soon if you have any more questions, and have a magical vacation!

Meet the Panelist: Ashley, Massachusetts

Hi All, I'm Ashley! From the very beginning Walt Disney World Resort has always been a part of my life. As a child I excitedly helped to plan family trips, as a young adult I planned our "happily ever after" right on Disney property, and now I'm lucky enough to plan magical vacations for my three incredible children. When we're not taking in the enchanting experiences of the parks, we're home in Massachusetts, probably planning our next trip! Learn More About Ashley
