If I feel like my family is using up their Dining Plan meals too fast durring the 5 days in WDW, Should/can I upgrade my dining plan once we are there? Or is it more cost effective to just pay out after that? So overwhelmed. I want to do 2 signature meals.

Hi, Rebecca!  I'm sorry you're feeling overwhelmed, but there really are so many things to think about with a Walt Disney World vacation!  But we're here to get you through and try to make your vacation planning as stress free as possible!

The dining plan, or changes to it, must be done prior to checking in, so you won't be able to change it once you arrive.  You have to make dining plan changes or additions at least three days prior to your arrival.

So here's what I recommend.  If you are doing two signature dining experiences, I would consider paying out of pocket for the meals you are short.  Some families don't even do table service meals every day, so you may find that you can do a quick service dinner to make up for the two signature dining meals you do.  That way, your out of pocket would be minimal.

You could also check out the menus and prices at a website like allears.net to see if it would be more cost effective to pay out of pocket for the signature dining.  If you do plan to have a table service meal each day, you can get a rough estimate of how much the meals will cost by making a few general menu selections and adding them up.  You may find, especially if you are not a big eater, that it's a bit less expensive to pay out of pocket for the signature dining.

I'm giving you one more job to tackle in planning this vacation - NO STRESS!!  Whatever you need, you just come on back here and we'll help you!

    Happy planning!
