can I feed the giraffes from an animal kingdom room? if so which rooms allow this

    Jambo Kimberly!

What fun this would be! I have actually been able to feed a giraffe at a local zoo, and it was such a cool experience. Unfortunately, this isn’t something that Guests can do when staying at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge or Villas. The animals are kept at a safe distance from Guest rooms for everyone’s health and safety. I can only imagine that it would be a very popular activity to feed them, and the giraffe might end up being quite chubby!

If you’d like to get up-close and personal with the wildlife, you can meet some furry friends at Affection Section at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park! They have goats you can pet, as well as other animals you can visit with. If you have Disney+ I highly recommend the series “The Magic of Disney’s Animal Kingdom.” This show takes you behind the scenes to meet many of the animals of this beloved theme park, including Popcorn the Chicken who you can meet at Affection Section. If giraffes are your thing, there is also an episode profiling these tall residents of the park and how they are cared for.

I’m sorry you can’t feed the giraffes in person, Kimberly, but I’m sure you’ll still enjoy watching them from the resort. Giraffes are present on all of the resort savannas and so you should have the opportunity to see them from all savanna view rooms. They are also visible from the public viewing areas found throughout the resort, so you should be able to see them at some point during your stay. I hope you have a wonderful visit to Disney’s Animal Kingdom Villas, Kimberly!

    Wishing you Membership Magic!
