How much is the fee for the penny press machines? I have saw that they will take cash or card, but couldn't fine the actual price. Also want to verify that they supply the pennies if we don't have one?

Hey Crystal, so happy to see you back at planDisney!

You’re in luck because I took special notice of the Coin Press Machines on my most recent visit to Walt Disney World Resort since my kids are reaching the age where they are interested in starting collections. They haven’t decided if that means collecting pressed pennies, gathering character autographs, or trading pins, but we’re having fun trying a little bit of everything.

Crystal, at this time the Pressed Penny Collectibles are available for $1.00 each, or all 8 designs in the machine for $5.00. This price is subject to change at any time without notice. The machine I visited took cash, card, or mobile wallet, but it was noted that a card would not be accepted for the $1.00 for 1 design option. Now, I did notice that not all machines were the same and some did not accept payment from a mobile wallet at this time. Designs also varied throughout the parks, but during my visit, I spotted many designs featuring the Disney100 Celebration logo on them.

The machines also provide the coin, so you won’t need to carry pennies with you throughout the theme parks. But speaking of carrying pennies, I did see “booklets” for storing your pressed pennies available for purchase in several merchandise locations! This made keeping track of our pressed coins so much more convenient.

To find the locations of the machines, you can search “Coin Press Machines” in your My Disney Experience mobile app. This will pull up a map of Walt Disney World Resort to find the machine closest to you. They can be found throughout the theme parks, water parks, Resorts, and at Disney Springs, so you should have no problem adding to your collection!

Finding these collectibles is such a fun activity during Walt Disney World vacations because you can still move throughout the theme parks while enjoying shows and attractions and also keeping an eye out for these machines. I hope this answer helps you in your search for these tiny treasures! We’ll be here at planDisney if you have any more questions as you prepare for your upcoming vacation.
