We will be there Feb 3-11th super excited! Just wondering how long do you think ride lines will be at the parks during this time of the year? Last time we went during a time when the crowd levels were supposedly low and it was so busy and lots of long line

    Hi Stephanie!

Congratulations on booking your February vacation to the Walt Disney World resort. With cooler temperatures and a history of lower crowd levels, you and your family are bound to enjoy all that WDW has to offer.

As my family and I have visited the Walt Disney World parks at various times throughout the year, I can share in your concern. We usually book at the end of August, which is known to be a low crowd period, and were shocked last year at the amount of time we waited for the attractions. That being said, this year, the crowds were pretty decent, and we were able to traverse the parks with ease and minimal wait time.

Traditionally, the beginning of February is also a low crowd period, however, it all depends on the newest happenings. During that time, the Walt Disney World Pro Soccer Classic is slated to take place as well as Atlanta Braves Spring Training at ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex. These can (and will) increased the crowd levels along with the introduction of New Fantasyland and Test Track, and as other new attractions open (Seven Dwarfs Mine Train), they expect this to be the norm. My best suggestion for you and your family is to be ready with a plan. Know what parks have peak attendance on what days (the independent website Undercover Tourist, has a great program which highlights these) as well as what attractions are must do's for your family. That way you'll be able to see the most of the best of Walt Disney World!

Hope this helps you plan your magical vacation! -Malanie
