Is it feasible to share a meal from the nicer restaurants between two adults, both of whom are reducing their caloric intake? Some places have such big portion sizes and I was wondering if WDW follows that pattern.

    Hi Jeni,

I agree the portions can be large at Disney World. I typically can not eat an adult meal at some locations because they are big. I think the counter service meals are larger than table service in some cases.

While I never share a meal at dinner, I have found that the portions at the nicer restaurants are more health friendly. I come out of those meals satisfied and not stuffed.

In order to balance my caloric intake, I eat breakfast in my room. I pack cereal from home and purchase milk on site. I also split lunch with my husband.

For dinner, I usually eat just the main course and will treat myself to a dessert if it is one of my favorites!

Disney has done a good job of having fruits and vegetables on sale for guests. In addition, vegetarian and fish dishes are available at many sit down restaurants.

Remember Disney is a lot of walking so it will be easier to lose those extra vacation calories!

    Have a magical vacation!
