I have a fear of heights. How far off the ground are your feet in the bottom row on Soarin'?

Welcome to planDisney, Bonnie!  We are glad you stopped by with your question.

Just a few more days until you'll be right in the middle of The World's Most Magical Celebration!  This is such a great time of year to visit.  The EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival is going on, and Magic Kingdom Park is decorated for Fall with yummy ghoulish goodies to be found.

Soarin' Around the World is one of my family's must-do attractions.  Guests seated in the bottom row are lifted approximately 30 feet off the ground, although the scenery on the screen at times makes it seem like you are flying much higher!  The description of this attraction does include a Guest advisory: "Those who have a fear of heights or are prone to motion sickness should not ride."

Bonnie, only you can decide if this attraction would be something you would enjoy.  You are welcome to wait in line with the rest of your party.  If at any point you choose not to ride, just let a Cast Member know and they can show you to the exit.  If you decide not to accompany your party through the ride queue, The Land Pavilion (where Soarin' is located) is a great place to wait!  You might enjoy Living with the Land or Awesome Planet while the rest of your party heads to Soarin' Around The World.  Or perhaps you would rather simply relax with a beverage or snack at Sunshine Seasons.

I am wishing you a wonderful vacation!  Please let us know if you have any additional questions.  We are always happy to help.
