Favorite ponchos for the parks in October?  Disposable or Reusable?

Hi, Kristi!  This may just be absolute laziness on my part, but I like to pick up the disposable ponchos at my local dollar store.  They just don't ever seem to fold back up quite as nicely as they come out of the package, and I think the "wet" lingers and leaves an odor.  I have also found one of my daughters inevitably balls up a poncho and tosses it into a backpack or tote bag, never to be seen again.  Well, at least not until it's had a chance to get moldy inside the backpack and I find it under a bed months after the vacation.

On the other hand, the cheapy ones don't have Mickey Mouse on them, and they may not last as long.  I always bring two per person with me on a trip, because I know at least one or two is going to get ripped beyond being useful.  When I used to use them to cover a stroller, I even bought an extra one or two more.

Hopefully, this will help you make the decision that will work for your family.  And hopefully, it will stay nice and dry during your whole trip, and you won't need them!
