my father is retired military can he purchase tickets and we use them without his going to disney?

Hi, Jessica!  The military tickets require activation at the theme park by the military member (or their eligible spouse).  A valid military identification card will be required at the theme park in order to activate the passes.

Unfortunately, the only way for you to use the discounted tickets would be to take your Dad with you to Walt Disney World.  It wouldn't be necessary for him to actually go into the theme parks, but he would have to be there at the gate to activate the passes.

I hope this doesn't put too big of a damper on your vacation plans!  Maybe it will encourage your Dad to come with you and make it a big family vacation!
