Hey there! Hi there, Kimber! Your question just put the biggest smile on my face. Your dad sounds like a very special person, treating you to a mom-and-son trip to the
Most Magical Place on Earth. You must be
popping with excitement!
If your father purchased a
Disney vacation package (hotel stay and tickets together), he would have paid a deposit when he booked it and the balance 30 days before your arrival. If he purchased the tickets and resort separately, he would have paid for one night of the stay, and the
balance will be charged to the credit card on file the morning you check out. From your question, it sounds like you added his card to your account when you completed the "
direct-to-room" check-in process. If so, any balance on your account will go to this card.
For your theme park tickets, you can open the
My Disney Experience app and make sure they are assigned to you and your son. If they are not yet linked to your account, you should be able to find the reservation number in the email confirmation. You can go to “
My Plans” and select “Link Tickets” under the “Park Tickets” icon at the top of the screen. Follow the prompts to add the tickets with that reservation number. If they are in your dad's account, he can reassign these tickets to you by logging into the "My Plans" page, scrolling to "My Reservations, Plans and Tickets" and selecting the "Tickets, Passes & Memory Maker" tab. He should see the tickets in his account and an option to assign them to a Guest in his "
Family & Friends" list.
Kimber, in my experience, I have not been asked to show a physical credit card when my hotel reservation and tickets were linked to my
MyDisney account and I used my
MagicBand+ or
Disney MagicMobile service on my cell phone. The main instance I can think of when you might need the credit card is visiting
Guest Relations to get physical tickets from Will Call. Now, my experience does not guarantee that you will not be asked to show the card. But completing the
check-in on my app and linking the tickets has made it easy to head straight to my resort room and breeze through the ticket gates.
Speaking of "breezing through,"
Pop Century Resort is on
Disney’s Skyliner, one of my favorite ways to travel at Walt Disney World Resort. You can take to the skies and swing like Tarzan to
EPCOT and
Disney’s Hollywood Studios. I love it when getting there is an attraction, too!
I hope your trip is perfect in every way! If we can help with any other questions, we’d love to welcome you back to
planDisney!
See ‘Ya Real Soon!
