Hi, Donna, and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! My husband is retired military, so I'm happy to answer this question for you.
We began taking our kids to
Walt Disney World Resort about six years ago using the Military Promotional Tickets, and we found them to be a wonderful benefit for my husband's military service. In 2019 this benefit has continued with both 4-Day and 5-Day
Military Promotional Tickets which are available for active and retired members of the U.S. Military or their spouses. These tickets are designed for use by the Service Member and his or her family members and friends. The Eligible Service Member or their spouse must show their valid Military ID to purchase the tickets and to activate them. Up to six tickets may be purchased for use before December 19, 2019, and at least one of the six tickets must be used by the Eligible Service Member. If your father-in-law accompanies your family on your visit to Walt Disney World Resort, he may certainly use his entitlement for you. He'll need to be with you and your family when you activate your tickets as well.
To purchase these specially-priced Military Promotional Tickets, your father-in-law can visit his local military base or call the
Shades of Green ticket office. With valid Military ID, he may also qualify for
special rates at select Walt Disney World Resort hotels, too! More information about this special offer can be found on the Walt Disney World Resort website.
Hopefully this answers your question, Donna! Please let us know if there's anything else we can do to help you plan your Walt Disney World Resort vacation.
