My father has COPD and needs an oxygen tank. It runs on electric battery that lasts 3 hours. Is there a place he can charge it throughout the park? Is there a place to rent oxygen tanks if something happens to his?

    Hi Crystal,

Welcome back to planDisney! I’m so happy you are visiting us again to help you plan your next visit to Walt Disney World Resort!

I reached out to a Cast Member to find out if there were any restrictions on where you could plug in your dad’s electric battery. I was told that you should be able to use any available outlet throughout the theme parks. I strongly urge you to first ask a nearby Cast Member to help you find the best location for your family to sit and plug in your charger. The Cast Member will gladly assist you in finding the right place to plug in for the safety of your family, your equipment, and other guests. You are also welcome to visit the First Aid locations in each of the four theme parks. It would be a quiet and cool location for your dad to rest while his battery charges.

AdventHealth is the official healthcare provider of Walt Disney World Resort and offers various health services for those visiting Walt Disney World. They may be able to assist you with arranging healthcare equipment rentals during your vacation. I recommend reaching out to them at the number listed before your upcoming visit for information regarding available equipment, costs, and any other information you might need to obtain medical supplies.

I hope this was helpful, Crystal. Enjoy your visit to Walt Disney World Resort with your family! If you have any future planning questions, please visit me again at planDisney!
