What is the fastest way from POFQ to the Grand Floridian for a 10am 1900 Park Fare breakfast in Feb '14? Thank you!

    Hi there Alicia!

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and congratulations on your upcoming Walt Disney World vacation!

This is a great question! The quickest and most direct way of traveling from Disney's Port Orleans French Quarter Resort to Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa is by car. If you will have access to a car during your trip, I recommend driving to your Character Dining Experience at 1900 Park Fare. If you don't have access to a car, consider taking a taxi. The ride itself should take no more than 15 - 20 minutes when traveling by car.

If you prefer to utilize Disney's complimentary transportation, the quickest route is to take the bus to Magic Kingdom Park and then transfer to the Gold Flag motor launch (water taxi) or the Resort monorail bound for Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. If there is a Gold Flag motor launch at the dock when you exit Magic Kingdom Park, the water taxi will be quicker since Grand Floridian Resort & Spa is the first stop after leaving Magic Kingdom Park. The Resort monorail will depart from Magic Kingdom Park and stop at Disney's Contemporary Resort, Transportation and Ticket Center, and Disney's Polynesian Resort before arriving at your destination. I would allow one hour travel time if using Disney's complimentary transportation.

I hope this information helps! Please don't hesitate to write us back if you have any additional questions. Best wishes for a magical trip, Alicia!

    Happy Travels,
    Jodie
