What's the fastest way to get from Animal Kingdom to Epcot and how long will it take approx? Hollywood to Epcot? Hollywood to Magic Kingdom? Thank you!

Welcome back to planDisney, Michael! Your visit is inching closer and closer, so let's climb aboard and explore all the fabulous transportation options at Walt Disney World Resort.

It sounds like you added the Park Hopper Option to your theme park tickets, so let's take a moment to cheer that decision...YAY! I love soaking in my favorite aspects of one park and then popping over to another for fresh, new fun. Getting from park to park takes a little planning, and I have the perfect tool to help.

Your My Disney Experience mobile app will be a guidebook at your fingertips. Tap the teardrop-shaped icon at the bottom of your screen to open a map of the entire property. To get directions and current travel times, swipe to select "Transportation" from the options at the top of the screen.

Next, select the destination you're traveling to. I just experimented from home and selected EPCOT. My tip is to tap "Show List" in the bottom right of the map screen to see a list of transportation locations at EPCOT. I chose "Walt Disney World Bus Service" because that's the only complimentary option between those two parks.

On the Bus Service screen, tap "Get Directions." You'll enter your starting point by typing it in. A list of options will pop up, and I chose "Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park Entrance."

Now it gets fun! Above the map that pops up, you can see icons for walking, taking a bus, skyliner, etc. In this particular case, the only clickable option is bus transportation. You'll also see the estimated time to get there. This time is based on current traffic and other factors, so it can vary. For my experiment, the bus ride from Animal Kingdom to EPCOT is about 45 minutes.

You can do the same for any destination, but a good rule of thumb is to allow about an hour to travel anywhere on property.

As for your other destinations, I recommend sailing above the trees aboard the Disney Skyliner from Disney's Hollywood Studios to the International Gateway entrance at EPCOT. And you'll catch a bus from Hollywood Studios to Magic Kingdom Park.

I've also used a rideshare service when time is of the essence. Each theme park has a designated pickup and drop-off area where you'll meet the driver. While this isn't complimentary, it can be a quicker and more direct way to travel. The exception is when you're heading to Magic Kingdom Park because the bus will drop you near the entrance, while most rideshare drivers take you to the Transportation and Ticket Center.

Michael, you have lots of options to get around Disney World efficiently. I hope I've given you the tools to choose your favorite modes of transportation. Please stop by planDisney anytime!

    Magic awaits,
    Elaine
