Hi there, Julia!
Welcome to planDisney! It sounds like you will be stepping into the magic at the Disneyland Resort in a matter of days, and you are staying at one of the newest hotels on property. I like your style, Julia! I’d be happy to help clarify this for you.
The walk from the
Pixar Place Hotel to the Esplanade (the entrance area for both parks) is a little over half a mile. At a standard pace, it should take you about 15 minutes or so. If this is beyond your limits — no worries! You have additional options to
access the theme parks, and an exclusive option as a Disneyland Resort hotel guest:
- Disneyland: You may enter Disneyland via the Downtown Disney District Monorail station. All park guests are able to enjoy this transportation option.
- Disney California Adventure: As a resort hotel guest, you may enter Disney California Adventure through an exclusive entry gate located inside Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa, which is right across the street from the Pixar Place Hotel.
All park guests are allowed to begin entering the parks during the standard opening time. While it is typically 8 AM PST, please see the
Hours and Events Calendar for precise times.
Bonus Tip: If you have time while at your hotel, go downstairs and enjoy brunch at the
Great Maple Modern American Eatery! I would recommend that you try the Chilaquiles or the Ribeye Hash. When my family dined here, the food was so good that I ate my entire plate and still reached over to snag a few bites from my husband’s.
Julia, I hope this helps and that you have the most magical time during your visit!
Sending you faith, trust, and pixie dust,
Karmeen
