How far is the walk from the Grand Floridian to the Polynesian? Is it a pleasant one? : ) thank you

    Hi, Pam!

Thanks for visiting us again here on the Disney Parks Moms Panel. A walk along the pedestrian path from the Grand Floridian Resort & Spa to the Polynesian takes about 10 to 15 minutes. And, yes, it is a very pleasant one! You can pick up the path from just outside the Grand Floridian's main building; from there, the path will curve around one side of the Beach Pool (to the left of the path) and the monorail beam will be above to your right. A bit further along you'll pass the Grand Floridian Spa & Health Club on your right and Disney's Wedding Pavilion on your left. All along the walkway you'll have spectacular views of the Seven Seas Lagoon with the unmistakable architecture of the Contemporary Resort on the far side. As you near the Polynesian, the walkway will follow the line of the sandy beach past Luau Cove. Then you will pass the Fiji and Aotearoa longhouses before reaching the Great Ceremonial House (the Polynesian's main building).

This is a wonderful stroll to take during the daytime as well as in the evening hours. If you'll be staying at the Grand Floridian and wish to dine at 'Ohana or Kona Cafe at the Polynesian, the walkway is very convenient! Follow the line above to view an interactive map which shows the walkway route between the two Deluxe Resort properties.

Wishing you a magical vacation, Pam! Enjoy your Disney cruise and your stay at the Grand Floridian!
