how far is it to walk from animal kingdom lodge to saana ?

    Hi Janice,

Welcome back to planDisney! It's always a pleasure to help a fellow Floridian, especially one with a question about one of my favorite places to eat at Walt Disney World.

I love all the dining at Animal Kingdom Lodge. In fact, my family and I enjoyed the African-influenced flavors of Boma just a couple of nights ago. Boma and Sanaa are often our go-to dining when we're in the vicinity of Animal Kingdom.

It's about a 10 minute walk from the lobby of Jambo House to Sanaa in Kidani Village. The walk is easy, but the path can be a little tricky to find. When you exit from the grand lobby of Jambo House, take the sidewalk to your right. It winds around the outside of the Jambo House rooms to Kidani Village. There should be at least one sign pointing the way.

If you don't want to walk, ask the cast members at the main door about the shuttle to Kidani. I believe it usually runs about every 10 or 15 minutes. I saw two guests climbing aboard it Saturday night as we were leaving Jambo House.

Make sure you arrive at Sanaa a few minutes early so that you can step outside to see what animals are meandering nearby. There's a fire pit and chairs for lounging until it's time to eat. Often, a cast member is nearby to offer information about the animals you are seeing.

And my No. 1 advice for a meal at Sanaa: Make sure you get the bread service. I could make a whole meal of the naan and the variety of dips that accompany it.

Thanks for stopping by again, Janice. Please check in with us any time you need directions, suggestions or information.

    Enjoy,

    Wilma
