How far is Port Orleans French Quarter ti the parks

Welcome to planDisney Lisa! Thanks for stopping by with your question. Staying at Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – French Quarter is a fantastic choice. I’m happy to help you navigate travel times from this delightful resort to the theme parks so you can plan your days with ease!

Port Orleans French Quarter is conveniently located within Walt Disney World, making it relatively easy to travel to the parks. The resort provides complimentary bus transportation to all four theme parks, with travel times varying depending on the destination.

The ride to Magic Kingdom takes approximately 15 to 20 minutes by bus. This is one of the longer trips since the resort is not on the monorail loop, and the bus will need to navigate through Disney property to reach the park entrance. Traveling to EPCOT by bus typically takes around 10 to 15 minutes. EPCOT is located relatively close to the Port Orleans resorts, making the journey one of the shorter ones.

For Hollywood Studios, the bus ride is also about 10 to 15 minutes. The park is not far from Port Orleans French Quarter, making this a fairly quick trip. Animal Kingdom is the farthest park from the resort, with a bus ride taking approximately 20 to 25 minutes. Since Animal Kingdom is more secluded compared to the other parks, the drive tends to be a little longer.

If you're heading to Disney Springs, you have the option of taking either a bus or a scenic boat ride. The boat ride, which departs from the dock along the Sassagoula River, takes about 10 minutes and offers a relaxing way to reach the shopping and dining district. The bus ride to Disney Springs is similar in duration but lacks the charm of the boat trip.

Since Port Orleans French Quarter does not have direct access to the monorail or the Disney Skyliner, buses are the primary form of transportation to the parks. If you choose to drive your own vehicle or use a rideshare service, travel times may be slightly shorter or longer depending on traffic.

Lisa, I hope you find this information helpful as you prepare for an exciting visit to Walt Disney World Resort! Thank you again for visiting planDisney. Have a magical day!
