    how far is one park from another? My family and I will be going for my moms b-day on august, and we have the park hopper option, is there gonna be enough time to be at more than one park in a day? or should i change them to base tickets?

    You may be surprised to know that Walt Disney World is the world's largest recreational resort, covering approximately 40 square miles (in fact, it's about twice the size of Manhattan!!).  Fortunately it also has some amazingly efficient transportation (buses, monorail, boats, etc.) to help all the guests get around fairly quickly.

    Typically your travel time between the four theme parks will be around 30 to 45 minutes, but you may want to plan for an hour to include exiting the parks, waiting for transportation, going through the bag check security, and entering the next park.

    So, park-hopping does take some time, but not so much that I would discourage it. 

    Park-hopping can also add many "perks" to your vacation, including...
    - Provides a mid-day break outside the parks
    - Allows you to enjoy attractions in one park, but eat a meal at another (especially a great strategy for evening dining at any of Epcot's great restaurants!)
    - Gives you the opportunity to hop to a park in the evening to enjoy a specific night time show; spend the day at Epcot and then check out Fantasmic in the evening
    - Provides flexibility for the unexpected:  If the kids want more variety, it's easy to hit 2 or more parks in a day.

    So, unless these "perks" of the park-hopper don't appeal to you and your family, I'd opt to keep the park-hopper option on your tickets.
