how far is mco to port canaveral. we're planning on taking a taxi instead of renting a car. do you know
approximately how much would it cost? thank you.

Welcome aboard, Jennifer Joy! You must have a magical cruise with Disney coming up soon! There is so much fun to experience both onboard and in the various ports of call for everyone in your family! I can't wait for you to head out to sea with Captain Mickey and his crew!

Taxi fares can vary from the Orlando International Airport to Port Canaveral, but will be just over $120 to even more, as this ride is about an hour long. I have a much nicer alternative to suggest. Did you know that Disney Cruise Line offers ground transfers for guests from MCO, the Orlando International Airport, to the Disney Cruise Line terminal at Port Canaveral? This is by far the best way to go. Disney takes care of all of the details, making your transition from land to sea and then back again, very seamless and stress free. They even take your luggage straight to the port for you so you don't have to hassle with it. As you ride in the motorcoach, you'll get to relax in a comfortable seat while you watch a Disney Cruise Line video about what to expect, then enjoy some Disney cartoons for the kids before you arrive at Port Canaveral. My kids really enjoy our Disney Cruise Line transfers each time we sail, as it means that the vacation has officially begun for us!

After the cruise, the motorcoaches will be ready to take guests back to the airport or to the Walt Disney World Resorts, if they've booked transfers there. It's so nice to walk off the ship knowing the motorcoaches are waiting and running continuously until all guests have disembarked. Again, they will take care of your luggage too! It doesn't get easier than that!

The cost for these ground transfers is $35 per person each way, but again, I promise it's worth every penny to let Disney take care of all of the details. Give the agents at Disney Cruise Line a call at 800-951-3532 to add these transfers to your reservation if you'd like, Jennifer Joy! Happy planning!
