How far ahead can you find out what movies will be playing during your cruise? I am cruising in January 2016 and am curious what movies we will be able to see. Also, what musicals will be on the Magic for a 5 night cruise? Thanks,

    Welcome Aboard, Jill!

About two weeks before your cruise is set to sail, you can call my friends at Disney Cruise Line (800-449-3380) to inquire about what movies might be showing on your upcoming cruise. If there is a Disney movie scheduled to release during your sailing, it will most likely premiere at sea on opening day. We were fortunate to be on the Disney Dream when John Carter premiered. It was neat to be able to see a brand new release movie.

One of the shows that will most likely be performed in the Walt Disney Theater on the Disney Magic is the newest addition, Tangled: The Musical, a show all about Rapunzel and her adventures with Flynn Rider. I can't wait to see this musical! You can also expect to see Disney Dreams - An Enchanted Classic, featuring music and characters from some of my favorite movies, including Beauty and the Beast.

You might also be lucky enough to see Villains Tonight!, which is a family favorite. We love the villains, and this show has them, including some of the lesser-known Disney villains. Since you are sailing on a 5-Night cruise, there is no definitive schedule for the shows. It all might be a total surprise. But definitely plan to attend the Broadway-style shows, they are definitely ALL worth seeing at least once.

I hope you have a MAGICal cruise aboard the reimagined Magic. Be sure to order a Mickey Premium Ice Cream Bar to your stateroom one night.

    Happy Cruising, Tracy V.

Walt Disney World was my very first vacation, when I was just 3 months old, and I recently completed my 73rd trip to a Disney location! I have been fortune enough to parasail high above the Disney Fantasy, attend opening day of Batuu, snorkel in the lagoon at Disney's Aulani, and SO MUCH MORE! I can't wait to help you plan your Disney vacation!
